Suomi-Peli is an unofficial title for our work as three
individuals. There is no commercial business.

Everything in this game is fictional, purely, product of morbid
imagination. Any relationship with reality is coincidental.

For any reason, contact our P.O.BOX address on last page.
Comments of the game are very welcome. You can also put any of
our names before "Suomi-Peli" for personal discussions.

The long and extremely painful history of DAMAGE
------------------------------------------------

...It all started back in spring 1993, when we had no idea of
Doom, Cannon Fodder or any of these modern "violent" games. JF
got the original idea of making a sort of a wargame, pictured
from side with two small characters. He convinced JS to join in
(altough JS already had a faint idea of the work required), and
introduced the idea to O-P who jumped in head first. The
beginning was a time of big enthuasism and useless work, which
turned to bitter but tenacious toiling. The more we did it the
more we realized what a terrifying task we had taken, but the
more impossible it became to stop. DAMAGE refined like a good
wine, and the attitude became all the time more radical. We
were making a monster waiting to get free...

The last year and a half after JS returned from the army were
hell. JS had his work, JF and O-P had studies and in the last
year, military service. DAMAGE was done on evenings and
vacations. JS did the largest work of course, which only insane
man could do, which he is. O-P nearly had a burn out, and JF
was smothered by the enslavement of his creativeness... We made
the mistake of advertising DAMAGE before it was ready, and
promising too early finishing, sorry.

Yes, we weren't very fortune with the equipment, either:
A television rolled down long concrete stairs, a high class
Commodore 1960 monitor blinked out, Philips monitor power
source burned, Man&Man store had poured coffee or some into
A1200 which rotted to death taking own power source and a pc
power s (propably the 1960 mon. too) with it, A500 was wasted
by misconnection, 2 joys and 3 mice were grinned down. Oh fuck!

But you know what? November 96 is coming and finished DAMAGE
is almost on disks! It is unbelievable to us...

SUOMI-PELI wishes to thank the following people
-----------------------------------------------

OURSELVES. We did it by our own and no-one else had a real part
of it. WE ARE THE GODS.

You, for buying this game and encouraging us to futher
masterpieces.

* Janne Särkelä stood with us by lending hardware when ours was
out of order. He also helped us at asm-95 and -96 parties. He
also wrote the install script (so blame him).

* Jouni Miikki helped with his sampler, and spreads the preview
in the net.

* Timo Tuppurainen had made the base for screen editor and
sampled with us too.

* Petri Federley half-assedly drew some vechile scetches
during school classes.

* Lauri Sinivaara did the most game testing and helped at
asm-96.

* Ari Sinivaara assembled our homepage.

All who tested this game, people at asm-94, especially the
video cam guy, asm-95 (where over 200.000 people were killed
in our preview!), asm-96. YLE, MTV3, Helsingin Sanomat.

Most people didn't take our work seriously. Thanks!
