3. DRIVING GUIDE
 +
 +
Xtreme Moped Racing's driving model is unique compared to other bike racing
 +
games. It combines steering and leaning to same keys instead of two separate
 +
keysets, and at the same time, tries to simulate the real life as
 +
realistically as possible.
 +
 +
Turning the moped is hereby quite tricky. When driving at normal speeds or
 +
faster, it is easiest to turn the moped by short arrow key pressings. This
 +
way leaning is used as much as possible, and steering is barely applied -
 +
just as in real life.
 +
 +
However, when driving at low speeds the moped is easiest to turn by long
 +
arrow key pressings. This is because in real life, turning a moped at low
 +
speeds is mostly done by steering - not leaning.
 +
 +
After a turn, the moped doesn't automatically pull itself up: you have
 +
to do this manually by leaning the moped to the opposite direction with
 +
arrow keys.
 +
 +
The boost is an essential part of the gameplay, and without the correct use
 +
of it you won't be able to make good race times. The correct use can only be
 +
learned by gaining as much driving experience as possible.
 +
 +
The game is also very strict on taking shortcuts, so even a slight shortcut
 +
is punished and the lap is discarded which you will notice when the lap
 +
doesn't change as you cross the finish line. So, try to stay on the road.
 +
 +
 +
4. KNOWN ISSUES
 +
 +
* In high-speed collisions, the tyres may intersect other objects and the
 +
front tyre may instantaneously get loose. These are caused by the
 +
instabilities in the physics engine which we don't have control over.
 +

 +
* If the host migrates in a multiplayer game, it is not possible to
 +
join the game session anymore. However, existing players can
 +
  continue racing normally.
 +
 +
* The multiplayer mode may have some unknown bugs because it was developed
 +
on a tight schedule and there wasn't enough time to test it thoroughly.
 +
Please report any bugs you may have found to Décron Software.
 +
 +
5. TROUBLESHOOTING
 +
 +
* If you experience any graphical problems, please make sure you have the
 +
latest drivers for your video card installed when running Xtreme Moped
 +
Racing. If you have an ATI or NVIDIA video card, the latest drivers are
 +
  available on their websites.
 +
  http://www.ati.com/
 +
  http://www.nvidia.com/
 +

 +
* When suffering from low performance, you can increase the performance
 +
by decreasing the screen resolution and/or bit depth and adjusting the
 +
texture filtering and decreasing the anisotropy level (if using anisotropic
 +
  filtering).
 +
 +
* If you experience any problems with sounds, please make sure you have
 +
the latest drivers for your sound card installed when running
 +
  Xtreme Moped Racing.
 +
 +
* NAT and firewalls may cause problems hosting a multiplayer game by hiding
 +
the hosted session from other players. Thus, hosting a game session on a
 +
computer behind NAT is not recommended.

3. DRIVING GUIDE

Xtreme Moped Racing's driving model is unique compared to other bike racing

Turning the moped is hereby quite tricky. When driving at normal speeds or

of it you won't be able to make good race times. The correct use can only be

The game is also very strict on taking shortcuts, so even a slight shortcut
